- We use release year as a heuristic: items released in the last 1–2 years are usually still available at retail, items 2–4 years old may still be on shelves selectively, and items older than 4 years are generally out of print and only available second-hand. This isn't an authoritative source — manufacturers may reissue or discontinue at any time.
